The collaboration aims to bring the Georgian economy into the digital age, providing better financial access, increased efficiency, and a new level of transparency. Recently, a very important meeting took place between senior officials from Ripple and the National Bank of Georgia.
Ripple has become the official partner for the digital lari technology development by the National Bank of Georgia, which will be used for the issuance of a central bank digital currency (CBDC). The project aims to evaluate CBDC technology in various sectors, such as public services and retail, as a crucial test for future blockchain solutions.
Georgia will connect its financial infrastructure and tap into the most advanced blockchain technology available. Georgia is not the only country currently exploring CBDC solutions in partnership with Ripple.
