Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin recently stated that the BRICS alliance is a good choice for Serbia. According to Vulin, the BRICS countries do not impose any requirements on Serbia and are capable of offering more assistance than Serbia requests in return.

The BRICS consortium consists of countries such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Ethiopia, Iran, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.

Vulin emphasized that his intention is not to compare BRICS with the European Union, but rather to highlight the existence of a viable alternative for Serbia. He expressed his belief that the EU is approaching its end, while BRICS provides a promising alternative.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that joining BRICS does not impose ultimatums on Serbia to accept laws that contradict their state principles, nor does it require Serbia to compromise positions with non-governmental organizations.

Furthermore, Vulin shared that BRICS membership does not obligate Serbia to impose sanctions on any state or make changes to its foreign policy.
