Some of the donations made by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign have been refunded because they exceeded the maximum amount allowed by federal law.
The billionaire twins, known for their feud with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, donated BTC worth $10,000 each to Trump, surpassing the legal limit of $844,600 per person.
Campaign officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the excess amount has been retrieved.
These donations were allocated to Trump’s campaign team, his political action committee, the Republican National Committee, and 42 state party committees.
