Developer Jump Crypto, the creator of the new Solana (SOL) validator client Firedancer, has launched a bounty program to detect bugs in the initial version. Firedancer aims to enhance network resilience and security on Solana, making it a more attractive option for developers and validators.
The first version, Firedancer v0.1 (Frankendancer), will undergo an intensive security review with a $1 million reward pool managed by Immunefi.
Firedancer is designed for high-speed and secure blockchain operations. The project demonstrated its ability to process over one million transactions per second during a live demonstration in 2022. Additionally, Firedancer mitigates risks associated with unified systems.

The bug bounty program, starting on July 10, 2024, invites security analysts and developers to test Firedancer v0.1 for vulnerabilities. Managed by Immunefi, the program offers rewards up to $1 million, with the most critical bugs receiving the highest payouts. Participants are required to go through Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, and Immunefi promises to review bug reports within 24 hours on business days. The program lasts for six weeks and concludes on August 21, 2024.
