Saudi Arabia is still considering whether to join, and Argentina’s refusal was noted as a setback.
At the 2024 summit, India is contemplating rejecting all proposals for new members, seemingly dissatisfied with the latest additions. Both Russia and China are seeking to further expand the BRICS bloc at the upcoming summit, aiming to establish a group to challenge the influence of the United States, Europe, and other Western countries.
However, India is concerned that Russia and China are using BRICS to advance their geopolitical ambitions rather than promoting a balanced partnership.
