Although Bitcoin and the wider cryptocurrency market are going through a period of stagnation, PostFinance, a bank fully owned by the Swiss government, has brought some positive news for five altcoins. PostFinance, one of Switzerland’s largest financial institutions, announced that it now offers trading and custody services for these cryptocurrencies – Avalanche, Cardano, Polkadot, XRP, and Solana. Interestingly, when I was in Ethereum, Postfinance was actually one of our earliest banking partners. They were always good and easy to work with. – Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, responded positively to ADA’s inclusion in PostFinance and shared his long-term partnership with the bank on his X profile. PostFinance commented on this cooperation: “Hello everyone, happy to see old friends! We are pleased that Cardano is now part of our encrypted product.” In November 2023, PostFinance expanded its cryptocurrency services in cooperation with Sygnum Bank. This collaboration enables PostFinance customers to buy, store, and sell cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) through Sygnum’s B2B banking platform.
