According to the cryptocurrency tracking platform Arkham Intelligence, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has an estimated net worth of at least $552.86 million as of January 2024.
He began working in the cryptocurrency field in 2011 at the age of 17, co-founding Bitcoin Magazine with Mihai Alisie, with whom he later developed Ethereum.
Unsatisfied with the limitations faced by Bitcoin, such as its scripting language, Buterin published the Ethereum White Paper in November 2013, presenting the network as a solution.
Buterin’s net worth is heavily tied to ETH, with the majority held in Ethereum tokens, totaling approximately 246,730 tokens.
In addition to ETH, Buterin holds investments in various crypto companies, including StarkNet, and other tokens like KNC and WETH. His non-ETH assets include 869,500 KNCL tokens valued at about $609.78 from Kyber Network, 196.42 WETH valued at approximately $436,920, and 101 million THE tokens valued at $127,950.
Buterin is the largest individual holder of ETH. Despite Rain Lohmus owning around 250,000 ETH from an early ETH sale, he does not have access to them due to lost private keys.
