BitMine Immersion Technologies Claims Title of Largest Publicly Traded Ethereum Holder

BitMine Immersion Technologies has officially claimed the title of the world’s largest publicly traded holder of Ethereum (ETH), after disclosing a treasury total of 833,000 ETH, now valued at over $2.9 billion.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for the company, which only launched its Ethereum treasury strategy in early June.

Rapid rise to the top of Ethereum treasuries

BitMine’s ETH holdings have surged from 625,000 ETH just two weeks ago to over 833,000, following a reported purchase of 208,000 ETH worth $739 million on Monday alone. The aggressive accumulation comes as part of a broader equity and convertible issuance plan that has raised nearly $3 billion in less than 35 days.

The company’s “alchemy of 5%” vision, outlined by chairman Tom Lee, sets an ambitious goal: acquiring up to 5% of Ethereum’s total supply. This would further position BitMine as a dominant player in Ethereum’s financial infrastructure, with plans to stake ETH holdings and generate on-chain yield for shareholders.

Backed by top-tier investors

In addition to its eye-popping ETH balance sheet, BitMine has attracted a formidable lineup of investors. Bill Miller III, founder of Miller Value Partners, has joined the firm’s capital base alongside Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund and Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest.

These heavyweight endorsements come on the heels of BitMine’s recently announced $1 billion stock-repurchase program, reinforcing shareholder confidence and capital efficiency.

A new benchmark for ETH treasuries

BitMine’s 833,000 ETH stack places it well ahead of other public ETH holders, including SharpLink Gaming (480,000 ETH) and The Ether Machine (345,000 ETH). With total public-company Ethereum reserves now exceeding $10 billion, BitMine’s dominance signals growing institutional appetite for Ethereum as a long-term strategic asset.

As BitMine continues its capital raise and expands its staking infrastructure, the company is positioning itself at the forefront of ETH-based corporate finance—bridging Wall Street capital with the Ethereum economy.
