Phantom Wallet and Solana users have been warned about a fraudulent application mimicking the legitimate Phantom Wallet.

The counterfeit app has surfaced through advertisements and bears deceptive similarities to the authentic Phantom Technologies app, prominently featuring the term “Phantom” in searches. Moreover, it misleadingly categorizes itself as “Education” instead of “Finance” and falsely claims 17 years of operation on the platform.

Reports indicate significant financial losses from the same portfolio. Mende Mathias, co-founder of Dubai-based blockchain, reported that his Phantom Wallet was compromised on June 25, 2024, resulting in a theft exceeding $100,000. Despite robust security measures, the incident occurred shortly after receiving presale tokens.
