After receiving a funding of approximately $70 million from the Worldcoin Foundation, Worldcoin’s World ID will be integrated into the Solana ecosystem.
The World ID is a core component of the Worldcoin project. By scanning people’s eyes using the Worldcoin Orb, it generates an iris code to create the World ID. This process aims to verify “identity” and ensure that users are not bots.
Once verified, users can utilize the World application, which allows them to share messages while maintaining the privacy of their personal data through an identity verification system. The World application also features an encrypted wallet, enabling users to store Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC.
To revitalize the project’s momentum, the Worldcoin Foundation has initiated a grant program, rewarding over $830 million worth of WLD tokens to support various initiatives.

Wormhole facilitates the transfer of data and assets across more than 30 countries’ blockchains, including Solana, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain. This integration will bring the initially developed features on Ethereum and Optimism to Solana.
The Wormhole integration will allow the Solana-based protocol to verify the relevant World ID initially validated on Ethereum. This will be achieved through the utilization of a new Solana smart contract that queries Wormhole, a cross-chain data discovery service.
